After hours of frustration and your inability to solve your own computer problems, who do you turn to? You might think, well I’ll just call up Best Buy they should be able to get the job done. However, Best Buy and other large companies are known for over pricing at rates of nearly $100 an hour for service that's not necessarily any better than a smaller local company. To help you make the best decision when choosing a computer repair company we are going to go over some things to look out for.
Big Advertising Budgets Don’t Mean Good Service
Advertising can be misleading especially when it's backed by a multimillion dollar marketing budget. Web advertisements, billboards, and fliers are all created to give you an impression of excellence and pressure to spend more money. These advertisements do not have the same value as a referral who can attest to the company’s quality of work. Also, because these computer repair companies have a large presence they can also get away with over charging customers at astronomical rates. So don’t let fancy advertising persuade you into choosing a computer company that you have not researched or had a referral to.
Look For Honest Reviews
One of the best ways to evaluate a local computer company is by reading reviews and testimonials. If the company is truly credible they will have a professional website with useful and informative reviews left by customers. Other places you can check beside their website are Google Places, Yahoo Local, Bing Local and Yelp. Don’t be afraid if the company has one or two bad reviews out of a dozen. Just make sure the majority of the reviews are positive and seem reasonably realistic.
Ask for a Reference
If the computer repair company doesn’t have any online reviews, don’t be afraid to ask for a reference. Most trustworthy business owners will have no problem providing you with a customer reference. Ask the reference basic questions regarding the service such as; did the company fix the problem? Were they punctual? Did they bill fairly based on what they advertised?
This is Where We Step In
We are in fact “a small local computer repair company” but we have years of experience and literally thousands of clients we can reference. Our rates are less than half of most big brand computer stores at only $49 per hour. Feel free to read our reviews section and once you are convinced give us a call.
